Sublimation Printing on Sportswear
Sublimation printing offers numerous benefits for sportswear production. This advanced printing technique allows for vibrant, high-quality prints that are embedded directly into the fabric, rather than sitting on top of it. This means the designs won’t crack, peel, or fade, even after repeated washing and heavy use, making it ideal for high-performance sportswear that needs to endure intense conditions.
One of the standout advantages of sublimation printing is the ability to create seamless, all-over designs. Whether it’s team jerseys, leggings, or performance gear, sublimation allows for unlimited color combinations and intricate patterns, enabling brands to produce visually striking and unique apparel without any restrictions. It’s particularly effective for creating detailed logos, gradients, and even photo-quality images.
Sublimation is also highly efficient, as the process eliminates the need for additional layers of material. The printed fabric remains breathable and lightweight, which is essential for sportswear where comfort and performance are critical. Additionally, this method works best on polyester fabrics, which are already favored in sportswear for their moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties.
For brands looking to produce customized, durable, and lightweight sportswear, sublimation printing is an unbeatable choice that combines creativity with high-performance functionality.

Fabric requirements for sublimation printing
For high-quality sublimation printing, the fabric should ideally contain at least 85% polyester. This is because sublimation works by bonding the dye directly to the polyester fibers, allowing for vibrant, long-lasting prints.
Here’s a breakdown of the polyester content for optimal sublimation results:
Below 85% Polyester: While sublimation printing can still work on blends, the quality of the print may decrease.
85% to 100% Polyester: This range is ideal for the best sublimation results, ensuring vibrant colors, sharp details, and durability.
We cannot sublimate on black or dark fabrics. Other printing techniques may be possible
